UVic concussion study
BC physicians are being asked to take part in a study titled “Concussion diagnosis and management practices among physicians in British Columbia.” The primary investigator is Mr Andrew Robb, an honors kinesiology student in the School of Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education at the University of Victoria.
The primary objective of this study is to explore and compare the concussion diagnosis and management practices of physicians in British Columbia. Secondary objectives include the comparison of demographic data with concussion diagnosis and management practices. This will assist in determining the extent of physician familiarity with this injury and in tailoring educational materials to meet observed needs.
Visit www.askitonline.com/survey/concussion-diagnosis-managemen/ to complete the survey at your convenience. The survey (including consent form) should take 10 minutes or less to complete. If you would prefer to complete the survey via phone or hard copy, please contact Mr Andrew Robb at 250 885-8257.
This study has been reviewed by the University of Victoria Human Research Ethics Board and has met the requirements for ethical approval. For more information, read Mr Robb’s BCMJ blog post.
