Protecting the families of Doctors of BC members
Since Doctors of BC established our in-house team of insurance advisors in 2011, we have been helping members with their life and health insurance needs. But did you know your family members are also eligible to access the services? Our mission is to protect our members appropriately, providing peace of mind, so that physicians can focus on what they do best. Protecting a doctor’s family members with the appropriate insurance coverage contributes to that peace of mind. Here are three examples of when you can refer your family to Doctors of BC insurance advisors.
Self-employed spouse
Is your spouse self-employed? A critical part of being self-employed is creating a plan that ensures, if you are unable to work, an income is maintained. Unfortunately, too many entrepreneurs leave disability insurance low on their priority list, intending to get to it later. Our insurance advisors are experts in disability and critical illness insurance. We work with several insurance providers to ensure solutions for every budget and most occupations.
Young children
If you have young children, you may be interested in supplementing their Registered Education Savings Plan with insurance plans. Life and critical illness policies can be purchased for children and provide them with an asset that grows over time while guaranteeing their future insurability regardless of what the future may hold.
Grown children
Perhaps your children are grown and starting to purchase property. We can assist with term life, disability, and critical illness policies to properly protect their mortgages in a much more flexible way than is typically offered through mortgage lenders.
Doctors of BC insurance advisors can work with Doctors of BC members’ immediate family members (parents, siblings, children) located in BC or Yukon. Contact us today at insurance@doctorsofbc.ca, and we will gladly assist you.
