Dr Adam Thompson: Doctors of BC president-elect for 2025

Doctors of BC members elected Dr Adam Thompson as the next president-elect. His term will start January 2025.
Working as a family physician in Courtenay, Dr Thompson was co-lead of the Longitudinal Family Practice Working Group, which led to the successful Longitudinal Family Physician Payment Model. Dr Thompson also served Doctors of BC in numerous other leadership roles, including Board chair and, currently, vice-chair.
Dr Thompson has held a variety of other medical leadership roles, including vice-chair of the Comox Valley Division of Family Practice, co-chair of the Comox Valley Collaborative Services Committee, and Comox Valley Division of Family Practice COVID-19 physician lead. He was also a member of Doctors of BC’s Audit and Finance Committee and is currently vice-chair of the Governance Committee.
Dr Thompson will begin his new role on 1 January 2025, when Dr Charlene Lui, the current president-elect, will become president.
