The BCMJ is a publication of Doctors of BC. Doctors of BC provides funding to the BCMJ, but the budget is overseen by the BCMJ Editorial Board, and the journal maintains editorial independence from the association. Statements and opinions expressed in the BCMJ reflect the opinions of the authors and not necessarily those of Doctors of BC or the institutions they may be associated with.
