I can’t agree more with Michael Dettman’s opinion ; the fact that the financial/payer/payee structure of our health care system is similar to that of another country (North Korea) in no way means that our governments are at all at par in terms of being “brutal” or otherwise.

Interior Health has introduced a form to be filled out in combination with booking patients for surgery. This form has a pain and disability scale and contains other parameters. Our staff have had an in-service in this, and were invited to a clinical session to educate us in its use.

BCMA web site review—the numbers

After a web site is 3 to 4 years old, it is customary to look at how well it caters to its key users and what improvements can be made to its navigation, design, and content. The BCMA web site was last updated in spring 2003, so this year the Association is undertaking just such a review.

Hector passed away peacefully and with quiet dignity in March with his loving extended family at his side.
