Surrounded by loved ones, on the fourth of May,
David passed peacefully at the end of the day.
He was born in Yarrow, near Chilliwack, BC,
On a cold winter day, in 1933.
Along with five siblings, raised on a farm,
Got into some mischief, but no serious harm.

In response to physician feedback collected during the visioning consultations, and to support the strategic objectives of the patient medical home model, the GPSC is changing some of its incentives to simplify and align fees, enable team-based care, and transition some fees initially connected to the time-limited A GP for Me initiative. These changes will not impact the overall budget for GPSC incentives, which will remain the same and be effective 1 October 2017.
Opioid use disorder is one of the most challenging forms of addiction facing the health care system in BC and a major driver of the recent surge in illicit drug overdose deaths in the province. In the context of the current public health emergency, there is an urgent need for a provincial evidence-based education on the full range of therapeutic options for optimal treatment of adults and youth with varying presentations of opioid use disorder.
