Permission to appear in acknowledgments

 

This form is to be completed by contributors to a manuscript submitted to the BC Medical Journal (BCMJ). 

 

A contributor is someone who was involved with the creation of a manuscript but who does not meet authorship criteria.

 

All contributors will be listed in an acknowledgments section in the manuscript. Examples of those who might be acknowledged as a contributor include a person who provided technical help, writing assistance, or a department chair who provided general support. 

 

Because readers may infer their endorsement of the data and conclusions, contributors must give written permission to be acknowledged.
