MSP fees
New MSP fees effective as of 1 April have now been implemented. This includes new fee items, amendments, and rule changes that were proposed and approved for the 2013/14 fee allocation.
The updated fee guides are posted on the BCMA website at www.bcma.org/member-publications/bcma-guide-fees [8]. Please keep in mind if you submit the old rate for a fee item, MSP will automatically pay you at the new rate with explanatory code BG (amount adjusted to the rate effective for this date of service).
The new rates can also be downloaded by accessing the Teleplan file at https://teleplan.hnet.bc.ca/ [9].
BCMA and non-insured services fees
The revised BCMA fees and fees for non-insured services (A-lettered items) increased by 2% effective 1 April. These new fees are posted on the BCMA website at www.bcma.org/member-publications/bcma-guide-fees [8].
Sessional rates
The GP and specialist sessional rates have been increased by 0.5% effective 1 April 2013. The new rates are posted on the BCMA website at www.bcma.org/member-publications/bcma-guide-fees [8].
