The BCMA annually presents three $500 scholarships to children of BCMA members planning to pursue post-secondary studies in the following school year.

Eligibility
To apply, applicants must be:
•    The son or daughter of a BCMA member in good standing.
•    Completing, or have completed, high school and be planning to continue studies at a recognized post-secondary institution, such as a university, college, or technical school. 

Application requirements
All applicants must submit: 
•    A completed application form. 
•    A copy of their most recent available transcripts. 
•    A paragraph, written by the student, explaining why they would be a de­serving candidate for this award. 
•    Supporting documentation, such as proficiency certificates, that will assist the candidate’s application. 
•    A copy of an acceptance letter from a recognized institute of higher learning. If the student has not received an acceptance letter when the application is submitted, it must be re­ceived by the administrator of the scholarship before the funds are released to the student. 
•    Two letters of reference. 

Academic qualifications as well as achievements in music, sports, languages and other accomplishments will be taken into consideration when awarding these scholarships. The schol­arship application deadline is 25 May, and submissions must be received at the BCMA office by 5 p.m. on this day. Successful applicants will be no­tified in writing by 15 June.
