The passport office has recently insisted that I hand write the office address, instead of using a stamp. They claim they cannot read stamps at times. They haven’t seen my handwriting! They said they had been letting this slide but were now enforcing handwritten addresses. Ours is long and involves suite numbers, etc.
We are told that we are not allowed to charge for filling in passport applications. However nowhere does it say we are obliged to fill them out. I would be interested in my colleagues' opinions. The government certainly charges increasingly higher fees for passport applications. Should we consider a boycott until we can charge a reasonable fee for this unpaid and voluntary task?
